“Phew!” Shaunelle just could not stop fanning herself as beads of perspiration ran down between her bosoms. The morning had started off extremely hot; Shaunelle could have never envisioned this type of heat. All she wanted to do now was laze on some white sand sipping on something beastly cold. She couldn’t wait for this climb to be over with. What had possessed her to agree to this climb with her friend Marcie…especially since they were leaving tomorrow?
Marcie was her best friend. They had met three years ago at a function they both attended with respect to their jobs. They had started to chat about a speech that was given earlier on; realized they shared the same views and also discovered they had a lot more in common. A bond was formed. They have been best friends ever since.
They didn’t live in the same state, but they kept in touch regularly by phone, the internet and met once a month for an all girls weekend.
Shaunelle was going through a particularly bad time after her break up with Dimitri, her boyfriend of two years, and fiancé for all of two months. All along she thought things were great between them, until she caught him in bed with one of her friends. She vowed to herself and Marcie that she was off men for good, as they could not be trusted.
