Maya smiled at her and said,” Varun. Do you like her?”
Varun was confused and shocked with her question, “What?”
She saw him and asked,” Just say yes or no.”
“Hey… You…Uff…. No”
She laughed at him and turned to see the girl and said,” Did you hear? He said NO. If had he said YES I would have given you a chance but now you don’t have it dear. So…”she gestured her to go showing her the path.
The girl left and then Varun saw Maya and both of them laughed looking at each other. Varun said,” Thanks Maya.”
She said,” Oh come on. There is no need to say thanks and sorry between friends.”
Varun heard her say the words FRIENDS. It was like seeing a rainbow on a bright sunny day for him. Few minutes back he didn’t have a ray of hope for bonding with her but now it was like he had renewed his hope. He was blindly staring at her so she shook hands in front of his eyes while making a sound UUUUSSSSHHHH to him. He blinked his eyes and saw her. She asked him, “Shall I help you out before any other girl comes to try her luck on you?”
He laughed at her and said, “Yes, please.” She helped him to wear his belongings while he thought, ‘Maya, When will you really become my girlfriend? Can’t the way you acted become true? When are you going to realize that you are the only girl who can sweep me off my feet?’
