At 8.00am,
Mangalyadharnam(Tie the knot), At the suggested auspicious time Varun was made to stand facing westwad while was made to sit on the sheaf of grain-layden placed above Adithya’s lap facing eastwards and then the pandit and everyone shouted “Getti melam” so the Nadaswaram was played loud and fast and at that moment Varun tied the knot to Maya. Maya saw him so they both had eye contact while he was tying the Mangal sutra(Thali) around her. Adithya and Aishwerya had tears on their eyes but Maya was submerged inside Varun’s eyes. Varun then came forward and kissed her forehead.
Everyone congratulated them but Vivek, Preethi and Janani came running towards them and Vivek hugged Varun and congratulated him also shook hands with Maya. Maya turned crimson also she was consoling her dad who was crying like a baby. Preethi and Janani hugged her as well so she hugged them back and said,”Ask Shiva to console mom.”
Varun then placed his hands on Adithya and said,” Pa, I am not going to snatch her away from you. She will always your daughter first then only my wife. Please stop crying for this or are you crying that you have a son like this now?”
Adithya smiled at him and gripped his hands then replied,”I am happy to have a son like you.”
