He gave me a smile that made my skin crawl but Meredith's voice brought me back to earth.
"Emma is that Ezra?"
I looked to where Meredith was pointing and saw Ezra Grant. My ex- who I'd been dating off in on throughout college.
I didn't know he moved to New York.
" He's coming over here." Meredith stated
And within seconds Ezra had his arms wrapped around me. He released me and said
" I've missed you."
"You too." I replied giving him a fake smile.
"You remember Meredith." I said gesturing to her
"All to well." he replied
He and Meredith exchanged a few words but I wasn't listening, I was way to focused on how Jason looked like he wanted to punch Ezra.
Finally Ezra's eyes went back to mine and he asked
"Do you want to dance?"
I thought about it , but there really was no point in that because Meredith said "Yes" for me before I could even get a word in.
