It was a common thing for the Madison Police Department to recieve the silent alarm at the local outdoor pool but that usually occured in the late spring through fall
but to the night dispatch this seemed a little weird due to it was freezing outside.. At first she thought it probably was the weather outside and decided not to bother the only officer they had on duty and went to the breakroom for her first break. Haldway down the hall she realized the alarm was still going off and
usually the bad weather would be making other business's alarms to go haywire and then she would call the open all night stores and bars and everything would be
alright and then if they would not answer then she sent out a patrol car to investigate but tonight everybody elses wasn't ringing just the pool's so she turned around
and right back into the dispatch office and got on her radio
Dispatch to patrol car six we have a silent alarm going off at the local pool can you check it out? Rose this is Joe did you say at the local pool? Yes Joe I did
Rose it is freezing out here. Who would be in their right mind to go swimming in this weather? Joe I know I was going to ignore and call the City Hall when it opens
