Mr. Holmes informed them that he had just called their old bosses and was very impressed with their work record and did have two job openings for management on the day shift. One would be at this factory which would be making the chocolate candy and then the other might be next door at the Jelly Bean factory and asked did it matter to them. Ben;s reply was no sir so the younger man knew that answer was just what Mr. Holmes wanted to hear by the expression on his face so he replied the same way. Both men walked away being hired by Mr. Holmes that day. Ben would be the General manager over all three divisions of the candy making factory and the young man would be the day manager of the Candy division. When they got to their cars Ben called his two brothers and his only sister and told them to get here fast and put their applications in. That evening at church services they all stood up and praised God for them finding their new jobs. Susan was going to be the factory's head nurse while Richard was going to be the day manager of The Jelly Bean division and Carl was going to be the evening manager of the Gum Ball division. The next day the factory was running over with people putting in their applications and most of them walked away employeed.
