Chapter 4
Upon reaching her room, Alex quickly opened the door and entered. Bang! Slamming it shut for effect, she smiled to herself. So far so good,she thought as she headed towards the walk-in closet.
Undressing, she applied body butter from her shoulders to her feet., then roll-on. After dressing, she stared at the woman looking back at her from the mirror.
“Well? What do you think?” she asked and twirled. You are going to the beach, Alex. Her mental-self reminded. The one corner of her mouth twisted up. “He doesn’t know that.” Are you done? “I think so.” Well get a move on. It will be over...“Right,” she said and headed for the bathroom.
Opening a drawer, she retrieved her makeup kit. Wetting a small sponge, she squeezed a walnut size amount of base on the back of her hand, working it all over her face until no lines were visible. Swiping three neutral colours on her eyelids, she framed them with brown eyeliner and mascara. Sucking in her cheeks, she dabbed cream blusher on and finished with a neutral lip-gloss.
Rubbing gel on her hands, she raked it through her curls before tying the scarf around her head. Once more checked to make sure she looked the way she envisioned and grinned like a Cheshire cat. Eat your heart out Shaun!
