"I'm sorry My Lord… but thought you should be warned."

Rowan sensed regret at the thought of leaving me behind, but the further away he kept me from demons, the better. None of them knew what fate was in store for me once the brands took hold, but Dantalion knew. His seat at the throne of the third heavens prepared him for what the angels feared the most… the Summoning. Dantalion put his faith in Rowan, but there were so many tasks for him to deal with, skills he had yet to master. He was learning fast. In the short time Rowan sent me back home with my guardians, the possession began to take over.

"Keep the legions in line…I'm the only one with immortal blood to open the North gate…so no-one should enter or exit . If I don't come back…send for Dantalion.. he might have to trade his angel wings for some demonic ones."

Rowan hadn't yet become accustomed to Dantalion's quarters at the Realm of Goetia, and he curiously meandered down the dimly lit hall. He was only half-demon, and thoughts of his own name etched on a demonic sigil above his chamber brought his curse to reality. He knew he would have to wait two ages until he would be human again. The corridors were empty now, all the demons of the Goetia preparing to accompany him in their quest to prevent the signing of the oath.
