Dantalion held it high, evoking the restored serpent Gwynnedd to his command. Her bones of the dead were the souls created by Satan, and her attempt to bring forth a child of pure demon bloodline from Dantalion and my demon form were unsuccessful. Dantalion saved her from torture far worse than that which she would have received had Satan took possession of her.

Rowan was part human, part demon, yet finally proved his divinity in the way of magick. He knew of the auras between good and evil and his loyalties remained sincere. He could easily learn new powers from the grimoire, keeping the serpent owing her allegiance solely to he, who would become the new keeper of the medallion.

"Rowan, listen to what I've told you and hear me now once more. Your immortal blood, remember its power. It is what every demon seeks. It will serve you well when you take this," Dantalion quickly transferred the medallion to Rowan.

"No way, I'm not doing this! I can't keep this thing!" Rowan pushed the medallion back into Dantalion's clawed hands.

"You must, she is a creation of Satan and punishment for my penance for two ages! Once left here in the first heaven unleashed, Satan will surely destroy her."

"Wait . Isn't that what we want? One less torture in the immortal world?"

"No, he will only destroy and re-create her, for his own bidding. We must seal her back within the bronze medallion."

"What happens if I can't keep her spirit within it?" Rowan became anxious.

"If she shape shifts from her serpent form, she will return back to her chamber in the Realm of Goetia," Dantalion explained.

"But that's the realm where all the demons reside. Why would she go there?"

"It is not clear why Gwynnedd lives out her exile in the Realm of Goetia. She is 'Succubus', my counterpart. She possesses poison venom that hath strange powers to cause secrets to be revealed…" Dantalion continued.

"What kind of secrets?" Rowan asked.

"Any secrets that live deep in your heart. She hath the power to extract them, thus turning them against you," Dantalion warned. "She sought out to destroy Laurel when she discovered I hath feelings for her."

"It's clear that every single thing Laurel went through is because of you!" Rowan argued.

"Yes, well right now, we need to act quickly," Dantalion reminded him.

Knowing there was no turning back, and wanting to know everything he could from Dantalion about how to keep Gwynnedd under control, Rowan went along with his request.
