I couldn't believe it. At first I thought Gwynnedd was the one who I should fear. But now, she tells me Dantalion was tempted by Satan, that he conjured up Lilith to bring down his fall. This was the prophesy. The darkest and most deadly. Now I knew what Lilith meant when she told me it was not Dantalion who called for me! She was taken to the afterlife when condemned along with Dantalion. But it was Satan who consumed her with evil.
I suddenly felt a rush of fear penetrate into my core. If Lilith embodied my soul, and we were both of the same immortal blood, than I too was consumed by evil. I knew why I was created. And now I knew my fate. I couldn't tell this serpent demon Gwynnedd the truth about me. She didn't know. And whatever happened to me now, it was part of a darker evil, something Satan devised. If I had never seen the evocation of a demon before, I would surely have taken my own life at the sight of her. I went along with whatever she said.
"What can I do?" I screamed.
"I will change thee into a demon serpent, with the beauty of Lilith herself. He cannot resist his union with you, and you will bear him a child of pure demon bloodline. Once it is done, the words shall then be spoken once more, whereby his curse will be lifted," she was still holding my throat.
"What happens to me when I am still demon? You said he won't care about me or my mortal soul," I begged.
"I shall changed thee back. Dantalion will seek redemption and may even grant you immortality."
I had no choice, I had to do what she said. Gwynnedd would never pay allegiance to any mortal girl.
" I have been evoked from the bones of the dead. I must pay allegiance to my Demonic Lord, as he hath created me. He sends me forth to bring him a child of pure demon bloodline."
"Why are you trying to lift Dantalion's curse?" I asked, afraid she would destroy me here on the spot.
"Tis by the order of thy demonic Lord. He hath promised to release me of my own curse," she sneered.
Now I knew why Dantalion said our pact was even. I didn't believe a word Gwynnedd said about him, not caring about my mortal soul. Dantalion loved me and he would sacrifice his immortality in exchange for my life. He knew I would have died trying to lift his curse. He didn't want me to try. Whatever way I looked at it, it would end in my death. I couldn't trust what she said about changing me back but I had to agree, there was no other option.
