"You mean, invoke the demon?" Rowan asked.

"Heaven's no child, never invite a demon into your body. He'll torment your soul."

"Well, isn't that what this demon is doing to her?" Rowan was mad.

"We'll need to see more about him to find out", Professor Good was determined to find out more about Dantalion.

"We should light the black candles and incense. Then I will try to scry into Laurel's magick mirror to see what she sees."

"What do you want us to do?" Rowan asked.

"Nothing". Just sit next to me. We aren't evoking or invoking any demons tonight," she smiled.

Lucia came out of the bathroom with a cold pack on her lip. Erin and Rowan sat next to her.

"She didn't mean it, she just snapped when you talked about him," Erin said to Lucia.

"Yea, I know. I should have kept my mouth shut. Now I've got a fat lip," she complained.

"It's better than a broken nose," Rowan laughed. "She's pretty strong for a small thing," he went on.

"She tried to tell me a little about what was going on, but I didn't think she was so caught up in it all," Lucia said.

"Hello! She loves the guy!" Erin added. "She told me that she can't think or even breathe when she's not with him."

Rowan looked hurt. He turned away and Lucia gave him a hug. "Don't worry, you're human. Demons and humans can't ever work out, right?"

Professor Good added, "Only when a human is turned into a demon can the bloodline continue".

"Laurel told me he consumes her thoughts and her body", Rowan said.

"Some demons, when evoked, have many powers. And they can possess a person, driving them mad," she began to light the candles.

"Do we need to cast a circle like in our other rituals?" Erin asked.

"No child, I am merely glimpsing into the magick mirror," Professor Good lit the incense.

Everyone sat very still and the flicker of the black candles and the scent of incense drifted through the room. After a long silence, Professor Good began to study the mirror, as if she were actually climbing inside. She moved her hands through the incense and looked like a gypsy fortune teller. The scent of incense drifted into my bedroom across the hall and I snuck out of my room to listen in on what they said.
