Saturday at the Baylor's house was usually a day to kick back and relax for Cameron and spend quality time with his wife and kids but this Saturday, Julie was buzzing around the kitchen making breakfast for her family while having the phone at her ear, making calls to guest for the wedding, and calling the printers to tell them she'd be dropping off the selection to be printed.
Cameron was still dressing for the day and thinking about going down to the animal pound to check on the dog for the kid in juvenile detention, he'd ask his boys if they wanted to ride along, that way Julie only had to worry about Katie for awhile
Julie had just hung up the phone when he walked into the kitchen and took his seat at the table; she set a cup of coffee in front of him and sat down, whew! I'm pooped already and my day has just begun, well the kids are okay for now watching cartoons at least two of them, Kevin's playing a game on the PC, so sit and relax for now, I want to talk to you, while we have the chance.
"The guys at the station are planning a bachelor party for Starke. A real guys affair, so are you planning anything for Candee?" yes, "Anne and I thought we'd take her to a luncheon and invite the ladies from the garden club and her friend Rosie from the paper and of course any of the other women that would like to come from there." We plan to ask them if they'd like to contribute to the gift we have planned for her, which will be in a card signed by all of us, "oh, and what is that?" Cam asked, "Well, we thought we'd send her to a full service spa and salon the day before her wedding to get the complete treatment, plus hair, nails and make-up, what do you think?" "I bet she's never been to a place like that in her life, that's what I think."
Candee had told Starke that she'd do a little grocery shopping after her errands in town, before heading out to the cabin, so that she could cook them a nice dinner, and then they could sit down and make plans for their upcoming life together. He said, he'd pick up some wine to go with her dinner.
When she arrived at the cabin he was there and came out to help take the groceries in, they put them away together, then he said," how about a walk, since it's such a nice day out there? Or did you over-do the walking in town today?" "No, I'm fine let's take that walk; we'll get our exercise before we eat." "Speaking of eating, what are you planning for Apples and his family while we are on our honeymoon? I know it's only a treat but I think he looks forward to it as I suspect, do you" Cameron will stop by a few times and scatter the apples on the ground, so they won't be too disappointed, he's been doing that and checking on the place whenever I have to be away, which isn't all that often anymore.
