She was in the kitchen, with Jamie, when there was a tap on the door, and Julie walked in with Katie, "good morning"" and to you", "hi Katie, Marie is up in her room, go on up if you want to," "okay, bye mom, have a good day."

"We've got two sweet girls there," commented Julie as she was heading to the door, "don't you want a cup of coffee?" I'll have more than enough at the shop, and I'll be in touch, see ya," and she was out the door.

And they were in touch often throughout the day, the boys did show up for lunch, boys at their age were always hungry, they phoned Julie from Candee's house to ask if they would be allowed to go to the city pool with friends, and she said yes, as long as one of the parents was going to drive them there.

At lunch Kevin and Kyle told, Candee that they were going to scout camp the first two weeks of July, which would start next week, so they would not be home for their usual Fourth of July picnic.

She knew all about this of course from their mother, but she let the boys tell their news and did not let on that she already knew, she did not want to diminish their excitement of going to camp.

After lunch the boys were off to the pool with friends and Marie and Katie went to the playhouse, she took her two way radio, a Christmas present with her and left one with Candee, that way she could communicate with her mommy and visa versa with out having to go up to the house.

Candee put Jamie down for an afternoon nap, then called the shop to catch up on things with Julie, the last June wedding was this coming weekend, and a couple were scheduled for July, but no month was as busy for them as June, it was a trend continued through all time, girls into women wanted to be June brides, and it seemed that would never change.

Julie asks about the girls, and Candee told her as soon as she hung up, she was going to take ice tea down to the girls, and check on them. When they had finished their conversation, Candee fixed a tray of ice tea and cookies, and took it down to the playhouse. The playhouse was the equivalent of the tree house that Starke and Cameron built for the boys, whereas the playhouse was very girly, and sweet, and the tree house more boyish, they even ran electric to it, and installed a ceiling fan in the high ceiling, real windows and screens all for ventilation, it was furnished much like a real house in smaller furniture.
