When they were finished with their shower and more, they were dressing in fresh clothes, and talking, "I phoned mom today from the station, to let her know we were going to the cabin this weekend, of course I ask her to join us but she declined, that may have had something to do with the break-in, I'm not sure, I felt I had convinced her that it was a random break-in, which happens often to cabin's or out of the way places.""Wasn't it?" Candee ask, "we're not sure of that, at this time, we'll know more when you and I have taken inventory, I hope?"
Jamie started to cry , she said, "I'll go get our little man ready to go, if you want to go to our daughter, then we can get going," "alright, how about if we stop, at our favorite fast food restaurant on the way for a quick meal?" "sounds like a plan she answered."
Starke finally got the house locked up the alarm system set, and his family and dog loaded in the van to make the drive to the cabin, stopping along the way for something to eat, Candee fed Jamie before they left so he wouldn't get fussy in the car it was seven thirty by the time they arrived, and so Starke unloaded the van, and Candee took the children inside to get settled, she flipped the switch for the hot water heater, so that Marie could have her bath before bed, she didn't even suggest she bathe at home, she knew she'd get opposition to that because the old deep claw footed tub at the cabin was her favorite.
Why? she did not have a clue, however Starke had not over looked the oddity of this, he had updated the cabin and added a shower to the bathroom, however for some reason he could not remove that old tub, which was actually in excellent condition, maybe the reason was because the only other person he knew who loved this type of tub was his late wife,
Since that was the kind of tub they had in the house they had shared for the short time they were married, before he lost her to leukemia. The only thing little Marie shared with his late wife was her name, which he and Candee agreed on when she was born, and they had looked at her for the first time together, it just seemed to fit her, so when the nurse ask her name it came naturally from both of them, and they both truly felt, his beloved Marie, had a hand in bringing this family together.
