While Anne was bathing, she was thinking, what a considerate son, and very soon to be, a daughter to arrange for me to go up to the mountainside bed and breakfast, to relax and wind down from all the activity of this wedding, suddenly the idea of getting older didn't seem to bad in fact, perhaps now she'd get the grandchildren, she'd been longing for. Julie's children were wonderful but she'd be very proud of her own grand kids, and Marie bless her heart would have loved to have children, but her life was simply cut too short, Anne sighed then.
And right about then she heard a door slam, her front door, Julie must have arrived, with Katie, then she heard Katie's loud giggles in the hall and knew it was them, they would settle in another of her guest rooms, where they would no doubt start dressing for the wedding.
Anne finished dressing and applied some make-up, she had, had her silvery white hair done Thursday and with the light perm it was fluffy and lovely, she looked in her mirror and was satisfied with her appearance, the suit she had chosen was so pretty the jacket fit perfect nipped in at the waist softly flared over her hips, wide lapels with beautiful beading on it the long straight skirt with side slit, all in a soft light fabric and in a color so perfect for her rosy completion, the clerk called it "blush".
"Yes, she said to the mirror this will do," then she left her room to go check in on Julie and Katie, she tapped lightly on the door and heard Katie's sweet child voice say in … so she entered to find them both dressed, Katie sitting in a chair watching Julie apply her make-up, Katie making faces as if she was doing the same.
Julie stood then and said, "What do you think, Anne?" you both look absolutely gorgeous", "as do you Anne" "thank you", Julie's dress was halter style, cut deep from the top down the sides of her breast, It was in a soft salmon color and was very striking, Katie's dress was white with lots of ruffles all edged in lace the same shade of her mother's dress, with a wide ribbon around her waist tying in the back in a large bow the ribbon was salmon also, she looked adorable, her hair was full of curls falling all around her sweet face.
Once again there was a tap on the door, and a voice saying "flower delivery" "daddy" Katie called out, it was Cameron, the men had arrived. Anne opened the door and his arms were full of boxes, he carried them to the bed and set them down there, he gave Katie a little hug, careful not to muss her, and gave his wife a peck on the cheek taking her in with his eyes, you three look beautiful! "You look quite handsome yourself," Anne replied." Well, uh, I'd better get back to keep an eye on the boys, and I have one more delivery to Candee before I hurry downstairs to see that Kevin and Kyle, are doing their job as ushers, Kevin is usher but Kyle is helping his big brother even though he is ring bearer, the guest are starting to arrive.
