Martha smiled kindly. "Just tell us what to do."

"I've seen a lot of places and people in these visions but never anyone I knew. I'm doing this once but never again. You're all involved so I'm asking you all stay in the room with me. Remember, be absolutely quiet." He turned toward the basement stairs and we all followed.

Quinn adjusted his equipment while we waited outside. We'd gathered sufficient chairs and when he was finished, we trooped in. Betsy turned on a tape recorder as Howie reclined on the bed, turning away from us. We remained in place, trying not to squirm, for nearly an hour before Howie surrendered to sleep. I watched my wife as she smiled and raised crossed fingers.

At first I couldn't understand Howie's mumble but then it became clearer.

"Oh, you're in a library," he said.
