"You think born again Saint Willard the Redeemed One might have been involved?"

"Apparently that's what the authorities told the family. He was in the area and the police took a good look at him from the information I have but there wasn't enough evidence to charge him. He was later arrested on another rape, charged with that crime, and sent away."

"I'll try to dig up an old case file if you decide you want my help. I'll take the plunge and go off grid, I can do that stuff. Have you had time to make up your mind to come out of your hermit cave and do some serious fishing?"

Keene, New Hampshire. It's a nice house, a keen house, complete with front porch and swing. The town is delightful; much nicer than a mythical Idaho location they'd like me to believe. I'll do a little prowling around to sort out the players before I strike. There's more than one but how many? Shall I simply kill them all to be sure? Perhaps no; that might prove messy and set the hounds a sniffing. Best I pluck one from their pack and nicely convince that person to share their secret with Daddy! That might prove interesting, don't you think?

I must be sure before I strike and not leave the psychic one behind to torment me. But I am a patient man and the sun is shining, the brook that fronts my home on wheels is singing. All I lack is a playmate to call my own.
