Baskar sank into his sofa seat and took off his money purse from his pant pocket and opened it where he saw the small sized Group photograph of his family, his father-Sivasankar, one of the directors of Engineering Colleges, his mother Devi-Sleeping partner of the college and his sister, Lolita, an apple of the eye of Sivasankar, was studying in Science & Arts College, B.A. (English Literature), First Year.

Baskar was studying B.E, (Final Year) Electronic, Electrical and Communication Engineering, at the Engineering College, owned by his father. He was one of the charming and handsome young boys born in a rich family, aged twenty two and his gorgeous dress added to his pulchritude. He was a tall, round faced, fair complexion young boy who looked like Arjuna in the epic of the Maha Bharatha, a philogynist, a silver-tongued man by which he was in the good books of his professors and student circle.

Next to him seated a young man who was more handsome than Baskar but he was in his simple dress and he was closing his eyes as if he were steeped in meditation.

Next to the young man, seated a middle aged man engaged himself with reading “The Hindu” very interestingly. Unknowingly, he dabbed on the young man’s shoulder when he turned the next page of the daily paper and uttered words, “sorry”.
