The downpour showed its intensity; it lashed the city and discommoded the people.

“What a bad time for us to choose this rainy day for eloping!” She sighed and felt ill at ease.

“Bad time! It’s a blessing in disguise. It’s a propitious time for us to elope.” Ramana corrected her words and added,” As it is raining, our searchers will find it difficult to trace us. They can’t easily identify us.”

Ramana and the sylph put an end to the discussion since both found out some people around them started listening to their conversation.

A share-auto driver hooted the horn to invite his attention.

“Come on, Banu; hurry up; let’s move now.” Ramana urged her to get into the auto.

The seats were sopping

“Oh, God! The seats are completely wet. How can I sit?” Banu raised an alarm.

Having heard her complaint, the auto driver in a requesting tone,” Try to adjust yourself, Madam. Where do you want to go?” It’s his English.

Ramana, before answering to his question, asked Banu to sit on his lap.

“Junction” Ramana replied.

“Oh, to Pattanam?”

“Hoom.”

“Fifty rupees, sir.”

“I’m ready to pay you any amount you demand.” Ramana said to himself and nodded.

It was dinned into him that he’s ready to pay the fare.
