"Wes... Man, when I saw Alyssa the other day, it was like bam! It felt like a freight train had plowed me down where I stood. I became a man on a mission. I had to have her, at all cost. In that moment, I didn't care if she was married or had a house full of kids. I had to make her mine. I couldn't or can't lose her a second time."

"Drake, you do know she's seriously involved in a relationship right?"

"Yeah, she told me about this David guy. I didn't see a ring on her finger, so in my book she's still fair game."

"She told me she will marry this guy if and when he asks her, so that sounds like a committed relationship to me. I don't want to see Lyssa hurt again, so if you're not going to do right by her, leave her alone."

"She won't be marrying this guy, if I have anything to do with it," Drake said with authority in his voice. "The only man Alyssa will be marrying will be me, and you can mark my words on that."

"Drake, are you serious? You just can't turn her life upside down like that. She is like a sister to me, and her happiness means a lot to me. If she wants to be with you, that would be great. Just don't push her. Okay?"

"I won't do anything to hurt her. You got my word on that. I just got to come up with a plan to get her here and back into my life. This is where she belongs here with me. You need to understand just how much I love her and I never stopped. My love for her is stronger today than it ever was. Wes, if you can just understand that, man you will never question my motives again."

"You know I'm a sucker for love. I do remember how much you two loved each other until you ruined it. I will support you and her with whatever you decide, but if you hurt her again, you my boy and all, but I will personally kick your ass."

"I know you will. I was young, stupid, and thinking with the wrong head. I will never hurt her in that way, ever again. You have my word. I have a whole lot of making up to do. Hey, give me her address, and I can start with that for starters."

Weston readily complied giving Drake the address.

"Thanks man, I owe you one," Drake said before hanging up his office phone. Picking up the phone directory with a gleam in his eyes, he put his plan into action immediately.
