Guo Fei gasped for breath, his blade aimed at the S2 that was constantly moving around him. His bloodshot eyes were almost bulging out of the sockets, it was unfortunate that he could not kill with his stare. The S2 remained sprawled on the ground, it was perfectly unharmed aside from a small nick on its collarbone.
The S2 took a few steps before pouncing towards Guo Fei, who swung his blade horizontally. Unfortunately, the S2 was not pouncing straight to him but behind him, causing his blade to miss.
“Boom” The S2 used its two strong legs and stopped behind Guo Fei, then turned and grabbed towards his head. Guo Fei turned his head only to see the claw right in his face.
In that instant, Guo Fei’s mind went blank, that split second made him unable to think. When the claw was just 10 cm away from his eyes, a heavy pair of military boots kicked onto the black arm. When the S2 had clawed towards Guo Fei, a figure had jumped into the air and used his powerful legs to kick over…. The S2 was kicked to a vehicle at the side. Following the powerful collision, it stumbled down onto the ground. Zhang Xiao Qiang appeared before it and kicked its head.
The S2’s head was kicked upwards and revealed its throat. Zhang Xiao Qiang used the sharp Beast Horn Spear and stabbed into its chin. The Beast Horn Spear penetrated through its chin and out the back onto the metallic surface of the vehicle. The final pose of the S2 was in a kneeling position with both its arm stuck onto the vehicle in a T shape.
Zhang Xiao Qiang exerted all his strength and twisted the Beast Horn Spear, twisting the patterns further into the S2 and metallic surface of the car behind. The head turned into what seemed like a mushy tomato as the zombie dropped to the ground. Zhang Xiao Qiang swung the Beast Horn Spear and cleaned off the black blood and brain juice.
He turned to see that Guo Fei was still in the same position where his neck was turned and spoke indifferently, “Killing them is easy, aim for the head.”
Guo Fei turned and responded to Zhang Xiao Qiang’s tease with silence.
Guo Fei was toyed by the S2, but Chen Ye’s performance was not too bad. Her speed was almost equal to the S2, and although she did not have much fighting experience and was in grave danger multiple times, she managed to rely on her agile body to avoid the disasters.
Fighting against the S2 gave her a taste and experience on how the S2 fought. When the S2 lowered its body, she would lower her body. As the S2 continued to move from different angles, she would constantly move her own position. Although it was her first time faced against an S2, she did not lose out much in the initial bouts. Of course, the most important factors that led to her victory was her bright eyes and adaptive brain, things the S2 did not have.
The S2 began its Nth assault. Chen Ye maintained her focus on the S2 and the moment it moved, she took action and charged towards the S2. In the narrow pathway, the girl and the zombie were not able to expand their battle too far out and could only engage in close quarters combat. She did a sudden stop and turned upon reaching the S2 and avoided its claws. With a spin, the Jing Wei Blade in her right hand slashed onto the S2’s back.
Both figures moved at the same instance and ended with Chen Ye standing at the S2’s original position and the S2 moving to Chen Ye’s previous position.
Seeing that she was able to fight well on her own, Zhang Xiao Qiang did not help her. The experience was something she had to accumulate and gain slowly. In the beginning, Zhang Xiao Qiang was just an Otaku who did not know anything. After going through many battles and gaining his own experience, he finally had enough to take care of an S2 easily.
The S2 zombies’ main direction of attack was from the front and back, the front cleared by Zhang Xiao Qiang and Shangguan Qiao Yun, the back cleared by Yang Ke’er. Although Yang Ke’er was not fast, she had immense strength to make up for it. Adding that she also had the shield to protect her, it was sufficient for her to engage the S2s.
The dogleg machete was a negligible weight in her hand. Every time she swung, no one was capable of seeing the blade. No matter how fast an S2 was, they were only dangerous up close. Yang Ke’er only had to smash her shield out to send the closer zombies flying. Even if the zombie was lucky enough to avoid the shield, the powerful and fast blade was unstoppable.
Yang Ke’er held her blade and shield and watched Chen Ye fight the S2, occasionally giving out compliments, but no one knew if the compliments were to encourage Chen Ye or the zombie. The scene behind her was a wretched sight, three zombies laid on the floor, dead, and further away, seven to eight zombie corpses were stuck on vehicles in extremely bizarre stances or laid by the vehicles with shattered glass around them. One even had its body stuck in the window of a car with its two legs dangling above the ground. Chen Ye knew that everyone was watching her but maintained steady. She became even more focused on handling the S2. When the S2 pounced over, she sidestepped on the wheel of a vehicle and jumped up to the roof. In midair, the unknowing S2 collided onto the car with a bang.
The S2 took a step backward from the impact. Before it could even climb back up, two leather boots stepped on its back. The S2 was about to retaliate when a sword stabbed right through the back of its head.
Zhang Xiao Qiang did not know how many S2s were hiding inside the coalfield. From the time they entered, they had already killed over 30 S2s. In the past, this would be an unimaginable scene. But at the present, Zhang Xiao Qiang and four subordinates had accomplished it. Upon thinking about how Yang Ke’er had easily destroyed seven to eight S2s, he made the decision to throw her mace into the lake. Yang Ke’er was naturally gifted in using a blade.
The five of them continued walking on calmly. Their appearance at the door gave Three and the rest a fright. The three S2s at the door took a bullet from Shangguan Qiao Yun, a bash from Yang Ke’er’s shield and a hack of her blade and the place was cleared.
There were only a few people in the main building. Aside from the four machine gun teams and the two members to load the bandoliers, there were 10 odd men in uniform wielding different guns. They held a myriad of weapons, they had dual-barrel hunting gun, five-bullet hunting gun, and two shotguns. The person most familiar to Zhang Xiao Qiang was one of the logistic member, who was wielding a black and short gun.
Aside from that, Zhang Xiao Qiang also noticed two Type-56 semi-automatic rifles and two Type-79 ARs. A 30 odd years-old man had a Type-54 pistol at his waist and a blade in his hand. It was an ancient blade that was about a meter long, the metal blade spanned 80 cm with tri-pointed tip.
(TN: Check out erlang Shen’s weapon. Something similar to that.)
Seeing that Zhang Xiao Qiang led only four people to fight their way in, Three looked towards them with gratitude, “Brother Cockroach….I…..I’ve caused trouble again…”
