Chapter 135: Flee in Desperation!
Although his heart was at peace, his face was expressionless.
Zhang Xiao Qiang pounced towards the D2 from the roof and watched its shoulders.
He then reached his right leg out to step on its arm, jumping onto its shoulders. His left hand reached out to grab its ear, before sliding down behind it, his chest to the back of its head. His legs grabbed its neck tightly, and he squeezed with all its might.
As he sat on the shoulders of the D2, with his height of 170cm, and the D2’s 3m frame, it felt like he was a kid riding on his father’s shoulders.
He then used his legs to stabilize himself, while he stabbed at the back of the D2’s head with his Jing Wei Sword, penetrating half an inch before coming to a stop.
He tried his best to drive the sword further in, but the D2 could feel the amount of hurt Zhang Xiao Qiang was causing it, and it bellowed out, trying its best to shake him off.
Fortunately, Zhang Xiao Qiang’s position was at its dead spot, and its arms could not reach for him no matter how hard it tried. Even with its struggling to shake him off, it could not match the intensity of the Mutant Beast he had entangled with.
As for its roars? It doesn’t matter, in any case, he had already suffered the sounds of 3 different D2s, having one more didn’t make a difference.
The sword continued to wriggle in the head of the D2. Beyond the half inch, Zhang Xiao Qiang felt the resistance increase. The resistance of the skin of the D2 was like trying to drill into an industrial material.
The tip felt harder and harder to drive in until it came to a complete stop. Regardless of how much strength he exerted, it would not penetrate further.
The D2 could feel the pain getting stronger, and it became even crazier.
The D2 sat down on the ground, before slamming backward.
In an instant, Zhang Xiao Qiang felt the head of the D2 slamming onto his chest like a hammer, and he was knocked breathless, his brain going dizzy for a moment.
When the D2 slammed its head into Zhang Xiao Qiang’s body, at the same time, it caused the Jing Wei Sword to be driven further into its skull.
The D2 roared in pain and shook its head. With its vigorous shaking, the blade shook inside the wound and finally dropped out.
Feeling the thing that was causing it pain to be gone, the D2 stood up excitedly, before sitting back down and slamming once more.
When it got up, Zhang Xiao Qiang had already rolled to the side, his left hand grabbing the Jing Wei Sword, his right hand pulling out his military knife. “PENG!” The D2 slammed towards the ground again. Chance!!
Zhang Xiao Qiang immediately stabbed down towards the eyelids of the D2.
It could feel its eyes being stabbed by something, while Zhang Xiao Qiang felt the knife come to a stop.
Without thinking, he jumped up and stomp down on the military knife, causing it to be driven all the way into the eye, leaving only its hilt.
The D2 roared once more in anguish, its claw swiping out in retaliation. He dodged to one side and had not yet moved when the D2 had already sat up and was starting to stand up.
Zhang Xiao Qiang switched the Jing Wei Sword to his right hand and rushed forwards in 3 steps, slashing at its bent legs. All he did was cause more slight cuts in the tough skin. He knew it was almost fruitless, but he was hoping that every blow would count.
He had given his all, but could not kill the D2. The military knife had also caused a superficial wound at most. He had not yet gave it a grievous injury, and he was already out of trump cards. Without giving up on any chance to potentially gain the upper hand, he continued to leave multiple scratches all over it. Even if he could not kill it, he would irritate it to death!
The D2 did not have the mood to deal with Zhang Xiao Qiang. Its attention was solely on the item that was causing it pain in its eye. It hugged its eyes while roaring nonstop, its claws touching its face gingerly until it felt the hilt.
Zhang Xiao Qiang was still jumping up and down, his Jing Wei Sword continuing to slash at the legs of the D2. The D2 roared out once and pulled out the military knife. It grabbed it and crushed it within its claws, throwing the bent knife to one side. It then turned its attention towards Zhang Xiao Qiang, who had immediately turned and run the moment he saw the D2 regain its senses.
The cat-and-mouse game resumed, and soon enough, it became a fight for life itself. Zhang Xiao Qiang’s stamina was extremely low, and the D2’s hatred for Zhang Xiao Qiang had intensified. He rushed towards the small alleyway, lacking the energy to run around the D2. The hole dug in the room became his lifesaver, a chance he wanted to try and grab hold of.
The narrow alleyway managed to block the D2 for a bit, giving Zhang Xiao Qiang a little breather. He turned, and gasped again, as it had begun to wriggle through. The walls began to crumble and dust was unsettled, blocking the D2’s frame. Zhang Xiao Qiang dodged a few scattering debris, before regulating his breathing for a bit. He then made for the particular room and leaped into the hole. Crawling forwards for another 10m, after making sure he was safe, he collapsed on the cold, wet earth.
The air was damp and cold, and a little stifling. There was the strong scent of soil. Zhang Xiao Qiang laid there lazily, not moving. Everything else was not important to him at this moment. He had to regain his stamina. So what if he couldn’t defeat the monster, he just had to outrun it no?
He felt his bones aching and tingling, and he was just thinking if he should make use of this opportunity to throw the D2 off, to run away from the granary.
“Peng” The light from the hole instantly darkened, and the entire tunnel felt like an earthquake had hit it. Zhang Xiao Qiang scrambled to crawl away, cursing that deranged D2. He was already like a mouse, but the cursed D2 just wouldn’t let him off?!
The tunnel wasn’t large, and he could only use his hands to pull himself forward. There was no light, and he could only think of the exit. As long as he didn’t hit any earthen wall, it was a path.
He continued to crawl in that unknown space, not able to increase his speed. Furthermore, he had not experienced this before, and the darkness all around him was like the mouth of a devil waiting to swallow him alive.
The D2’s continued digging caused the earth behind him to fly up into the sky. A strong stench came wafting from behind, and when he turned around to look, he saw that the tunnel was collapsing about 5 to 6 meters away. The light was shining in again, as the earth continued to pile around him, burying him alive. He trembled and increased his speed of pulling himself forward.
He could not care about anything else now, he just continued to crawl forward. The narrow tunnel prevented him from turning his body around. There was no need to consider engaging the D2 again. There was only forwards, forwards, forwards. The tunnel seemed to be endless, and he could just feel his head burning slightly. If he could feel his scalp, he would definitely feel numerous bumps. However, what were they compared to his life? He banged into the walls, again and again, adjusting his path constantly. He could only crawl forwards numbly until he managed to see a weak light ahead.
