He did not find the charges absurd, and laugh. The look of surprise and concern that she saw on his once handsome face made him now look ugly with his sins exposed. She almost gasped at the realization that everything she thought he had done, his look admitted he had actually done.

"So it's true, you collaborating bastard! You're not even denying my charges!"

"What does it matter, now?" he asked, taunting her. "What matters is, I am finally going to have you. Then, for you, nothing more will matter. I'm not worried about your letter.

I can get out of anything. I always have."

As Barbara struggled in vain to free herself, Chet lowered himself onto her and began thrusting his hardness into her.

"You're more beautiful than ever, Barbara. And the more you resist, the more I love it. I don't love you. I never have. You may be rich, but you're not my kind. You never were. I've just wanted you."

It was a joke to him, and he began laughing. But the joke and the laughing took his mind off of what he had come to London to do. To find her, then take her, then leave her for dead.

She had been right about that.

"Dammit!" he cried out from deep within him.

Pumping himself into her, again he could not release his manhood.

"More foreplay! I need more time! And less talk. No talk at all! Say another word and I'll..."

He did not get to finish his threat. Barbara watched, first in fear, then in anticipation and surprising relief as No Face emerged from the shadows. Half walking, half crawling, he came up behind Chet. He put a strong arm around Chet's neck and pulled him off of her.

As Barbara got to her feet and closed her raincoat about her, Chet and No Face began grappling with each other in the darkness among the tombstones.

"Run, Barbara!" No Face called out to her, taking a hard blow to the bad side of his face. "Stay on the stone path. It's safe there!"

Barbara wanted to ask who he was, and why he was helping her.

"I'll get help for you!" she called out to No Face as she began running up the stone walk toward the entrance gates.

A shrill whistle sounded again outside in the street.

"You in there!" a bobby called out to Barbara. "Don't you know there's a UXB in there?"

After telling Barbara how to leave safely, No Face lost his own balance. Falling off the walkway where he and Chet wrestled, he pulled the lame young man with him, throwing him forward. Chet's left leg gave way under him. Instead of regaining his balance, he stumbled headlong into a fallen tombstone.
