His mother winked at mez
I immediately got excited about the thought of a girls day but that excitement stopped as soon as I saw Derek's face.
"What! No your NOT!!" Derek shouted.
To my surprise his mother didn't even flinch.
"I already have the whole day planed so.."
Dereks grip on me tighted.
"I don't care. She's not leaving me!"
His mother sighed.
"You can spend more then five seconds away from her." His mother said.
Derek to a breath. Relaxing.
"No I don't want to waste my time with her. It's our first Christmas together. I'm sorry for shouting but, I love her and I'm not letting her go, even for five seconds."
My heart melted at his words.
Awe!!!! It was at that moment that I decided to step in.
"Derek, I love your too. But your mother is right you can spend time away from me. Even if it is our first Christmas."
I looked at him with pleading eyes.
He sighed, kissed me on the top of my head before saying
" okay, but you have two hours. No more ."
His mother was smiling
"Thank you son! Now I'll see you two love birds downstairs."
She turned and left
