"I don't take no for answer Adela. After all, we do need to talk and you have been ignoring my calls for the past two days."

"Fuck you" I answered automatically, wishing he would go away.

"Good" pulling me into his arms, drawing the stares of curious onlookers. His warm hand touching my lower back, tugging me in closer. In a daze I just stood there staring at his green eyes.

"I would like for you to do just that." His green eyes seem amused beneath long lashes as he took my hand guiding me to a nearby coffee shop, just one block away from my office building. Releasing my hand to open the door.

"Your thoughts." taking my hand again.

"Who was she?" I asked polite as ever.

"Katrina, my ex."

"Oh" my voice quiet. Gratefully accepting the seat he pulled out for me.

"What would you like?"

"Coffee. Black, cream no sugar."

"Anything to eat Adela?" The sound of my name through his smoky, impeccable voice rose goose bumps on my arm.

I shake my head knotting fingers.

"There is nothing between Katrina and I Adela."

"So why was she there?" surprising myself at how jealous I am.

"Besides to beg, which is her usual demeanor. She needed help with a case." walking off to purchase our drinks.
