"I want a gentleman, which obviously you are not."

"You don't want that, they can be quite boring you know." moving closer to where I stood.

"J...Just stop it." shoving my small palm in his face. "Why don't you go out and get one of those tall, curve blondes you are so much into and leave me alone." I whispered fiercely.

A quick stab of jealousy made me stiff. I glared at him, more mad at myself for feeling this way.

"Are you finish Adela!"

Taking hold of my wrist, pushing my back against the cold wall. His gaze like black fire, burning away any further protest.

My tongue frozen in my mouth.

"I need a companion to share more than my bed. I need someone to accompany me dinners, boring social events such as this." bringing my hand to his lips.

"It will be nice to date someone who is not interested in my wealth and status."

I try to ignore the mass of magnificent man. Frantically searching my brain for guidance, for instruction, looking sideways at the breathtaking view. But it was useless, Darryl has blinded me, all I can see is him.

"Why me?"

"Why not you? cocking his head to one side. "Yes, you don't look like my usual woman, but it's time I try something different." releasing my hand.
