“Both Kaori and I have a love for our village. We plan on leaning on you for awhile as we assume the positions you have given us,” Yousho remarked.
Elder Meesi told Kaori and Yousho that Hayshua was a village that could become important to the area beyond Hayshua. The leadership of Hayshua is to meet with the leaders of Mento at times and be aware of the importance of that town to the north. They had some discussion about the Reine threat and what that meant with regard to the warrior group that Yousho was creating. He admitted to them that Reine was known to be a powerful kingdom. He carefully suggested that Hayshua may not be able to defend itself if that kingdom sought to attack them. They understood that this was no criticism of the warrior group that Yousho was creating.
“My prayer life tells me that the gods we love so dearly are gods of peace,” said Kaori. “Yousho and I have talked about the warrior group and it seems that your prayers are suggesting the same. It is not a criticism of Yousho, we are a people of peace.”
“Kaori and I have felt that we are to lean upon our Gods to guide us with regard to the warrior group. I am not ashamed to say that our prayers will guide us in this area,” Yousho said in his normal calm manner.
