“I feel that we can lead Hayshua together. We shall prosper our people and grow a village unlike that previously experienced. I also felt that we have nothing to fear from Reine,” said Kaori.
The next afternoon Yousho and Kaori were asked to meet with Elder Meesi in his hut. They drank some tea and discussed the positions that Kaori and Yousho would now have within Hayshua.
“Hayshua has been awaiting you both for some time, said Elder Meesi. “I have seen both of you grow into wonderful members of our village. Our comfort as a council with you Kaori is absolutely due to your obviously wonderful prayer life. My purpose in speaking with the two of you is to learn of how you feel about the positions you have taken.”
“Elder Meesi, we have both discussed the trust that you and the council have placed upon Yousho and I,” said Kaori. “We both appreciate Hayshua and the wisdom of the council. It is our position to learn and listen. We have agreed that Hayshua will be given whatever both Yousho and I can give it. Under the direction of the gods, we shall do our best.”
“Dear Kaori, our people need and desire your leadership. If at any time you need to talk with me outside council meetings like now, just come to me. Be assured that I will promote your new leadership and support you in all ways that I can. Yousho has been a member of the council for some time. We as a council trust one another. We meet to get group agreement on direction for Hayshua,” Elder Meesi said.
