The Town Marshall stood in the window of his office for about twenty minutes before joining Yousho and Kaori at a table in the office. Kaori and Yousho had opened their eyes and just continued their conversation regarding the Reine threat.

“We will consider the Reine matter in our prayers Town Marshall. As you said, there is nothing we can do about it if that King is really that powerful,” said Yousho.

“You two are welcome to stay here in my office for awhile. It’s still raining very hard right now,” said the Town Marshall.

“The rain will stop soon. We need to start back to Hayshua,” said Kaori.

A few minutes later, the rain did stop.

That evening Kaori continued to feel good about the prospect of Hayshua having a written language. She decided not to ask Kiki to create the language for she wanted the idea to sit with her for another day.

“I am honored that you would ask me to do such a thing for Hayshua,” said Kiki upon hearing the request of Kaori that next morning.

“Both Yousho and I thought that you would be the perfect person to do this,” Kaori remarked.

“This is an important thing that you will be doing. Take your time and do it well. It is something new for us, but I believe that it will be good for us.”
