The rain and strong winds continued. It was almost completely dark as the light from the sun was covered by the dark ominous clouds.
The Town Marshall hadn’t noticed that Yousho and Kaori said nothing since returning to the office. He then turned to notice the two of them sitting silently with their eyes closed.
“Wait a minute! You two had nothing to do with this rainfall. No one has that much power.”
Yousho and Kaori said nothing as they sat with their eyes closed in silent gratitude to the Gods they loved so completely.
Lightning continued to light up what had suddenly become a very dark midday. These bolts were each followed almost immediately by loud thunderclaps. The heavy rain continued. The rain was accompanied by a strong wind. It was a violent storm. One might even assume that there was anger in the storm as there was viciousness to it.
“Will it rain much longer? The fire appears to be completely out right now. I cannot believe I asked you two that question,” the Town Marshall said with some embarrassment.
He then returned to the window and watched the rain continuing to mumble to himself. “Of course Kaori could not have caused this rainfall. We are really lucky this happened though. That was a very menacing fire,” he thought to himself.
