Living With a Temperamental Adonis: 99 Proclamations of Love
Page 947The windows of the yacht were heavily tinted, so Qin Yinan had trouble seeing what was happening inside. Furthermore, the noise of the engine and the sea breeze obscured Qin Yinan’s hearing. He had no way of telling the situation inside. Noticing one of the broken windows, he wedged himself towards it.
As he got closer, the clearer he could hear.
“Tingting, thank you for walking into my life.
“I love you.
“Live well on my behalf.”
Why would Su Zhinian tell Song Song these things? Is the situation inside that dangerous? Qin Yinan’s heart picked up pace, and he moved faster toward the broken window.
“Su Zhinian, you promised that you’ll never abandon me! You cannot do this! If you make Fang Rou jump into the sea, you’ll die as well! You cannot do this!”
Song Qingchun’s wailing pleas were like daggers aimed at Qin Yinan’s heart. It caused his arms to weaken for that one moment—he almost fell from the edge and slipped down into the sea.
“Su Zhinian, you cannot do this; you cannot leave us alone. We’ll jump out together. I beg you please, Su Zhinian, please…” Song Qingchun’s voice had become raw from all the crying.
Qin Yinan, who finally reached the window, peeked in. Su Zhinian was hugging Song Qingchun, his lips falling lightly between her eyes. Fang Rou was standing before the window that he was next to with her eyes close and her lips turned up against the falling sun.
The air of peace around her was incongruous to the explosives wrapped around her waist. The timer on it showed that they only had three seconds left. With just that glance, Qin Yinan understood everything.
No wonder Song Song has been begging Su Zhinian, the man plans to die together with Fang Rou to preserve her safety?
That explains why she has been holding onto him like she wishes to pin him to the floor…
When the situation dawned on Qin Yinan, the timer on Fang Rou’s waist had ticked down to two seconds. Only one second had passed, but that change in a number was like a mallet hitting Qin Yinan heavily on his head.
Before he had the chance to think about what he was doing, he reached out to grab forcefully at Fang Rou’s waist. He was originally leaning tightly against the wall of the yacht, but this motion caused him to lose his balance, and he tipped right towards the ocean.
The first sound that entered his mind was Fang Rou’s scream. Then he felt Fang Rou struggle in his arms. He used every ounce of energy to wrap his arm around her. As they fell through the air, the sharpened edges of the broken window slashed Fang Rou’s skin, causing her blood to drip on his face. Then, it was all water.
He sank quite a distance below the water’s surface before slowly floating to the top. As he broke the surface, he turned to search for the cruise. It was already quite a distance away, and his face broke into a smile.
Good, they’re both safe…
Before the thought even settled in his mind, his ears buzzed with an intense vibration. Then he was swept away by a gigantic force. It felt like his brain was jangling within his skull; it felt very nauseating. Every muscle in his body ached. Instead of getting used to the pain, it continued to climb until it reached such a point where even his breathing became difficult.
It stripped him of all energy, but weirdly enough, it cleared his mind. He could see everything extra-clearly at that particular moment.
