Kill Fest
Page 111"You know you could have at least found us a motel with a mini bar," Aurora said clutching the end of the sheet drawing it over her exposed figure. At her side, her male companion rose and repositioned on the edge of the bed with his back facing the lovely dark vixen. Running his fingers through his short dark brown hair he shook the cobwebs from his head. He felt drained, almost zombie like as he sat all hunched over and groaning like a man twenty years older. "Shit I'll be shocked if this motel hell had an ice machine, never mind an in room mini bar," he moaned as though in pain.
"Christ Stryker, you sound like you're dying or something over there."
"What can I say, you wore me out. You screw like a man."
"Why thank you!"
"Yeah sure, I need a shower," he said trying to pry himself from the mattress with weakened legs.
"Sure you don't want to go another round?" she said inviting him by placing her left hand upon his back before he could rise and scratching her nails along the outlines of his Cobra tattoo. The artwork done some years in his youth, exhibited the deadly creature with the telltale hood flaring from shoulder blade to shoulder blade. The rest of the snake's body coiled within the small of his back poised in the attack position. Its menacing dead black eyes seemed to stare back at Aurora with a malevolence that seemed to penetrate her very soul. With her hand resting along his back, the sight of her own tattoo of thorns, crimson and black roses in direct contrast with the serpent seemed to make for a complete portrait of pain, beauty and of biblical garden wickedness.
"No, I think I better get cleaned up, we have work to do," Stryker said looking over his shoulder making eye contact with the lovely girl behind him.
"Sure?" she responded as she rose in bed and placed both arms around him with loving gesture.
"Maybe later, after we bring down Fat Daddy and kill The Reaper," he said taking hold of one of her hands and rubbing his thumb over the back in little circular motions.
"Oh, you know just how to turn on a girl like me!" she replied followed by a kiss on the back of his shoulder. "Yeah, let's kill that pasty white mother fucker," she added as her bed mate finally withdrew from the mattress and headed for the bathroom.
As she heard the sound of the shower turn on, Aurora lay back in the bed raising her arms over her head and stretched out in a relaxing and satisfied posture. All her pent up rage seemed to fade away and at last she could feel at rest. She knew all too well that this new feeling of bliss could only be a fleeting thing. To complete the tasks ahead, her true nature of hate and anger would have to resurface once more. To be what she was, meant feelings of harmony could never keep a stable footing. But for the moment, the young assassin enjoyed the serenity she basked in.
