Little Fox was angry and finally asked him, “Leng Wushuang also tends to act this way. Do you also feel uncomfortable when she does it?”

Yan Chen said without hesitation, “Stupid, her movements are genuine, but you are moving like a mere copycat.”

Though it may not have been his intention to hurt her, it was different when she was on the receiving end. The last two words spoken by Yan Chen successfully shattered her last layer of self-confidence. She was frustrated and said, “You think that she is good, right? You like her, don’t you? Then why don’t you marry her? Let’s break up!” She ran away full of anger, and Yan Chen was very puzzled.

Later on, Yan Chen later apologized to Little Fox, and both of them were on good terms again. However, anything related to Leng Wushuang became a sensitive issue that could make Little Fox angry.

From Yan Chen’s point of view, Little Fox was slowly becoming more and more unreasonable. She often got angry at him and even asked him to stay away from Leng Wushuang. She did not allow him to talk to Leng Wushuang or else she would cry and argue with him. Sometimes, she would even request to break up with him or tell him that she wanted to go back to the Tianju Association.

Yan Chen felt like he was getting a headache whenever he thought about it. Eventually, he grew rather impatient and dissatisfied. There was once where he met Leng Wushuang in the courtyard. Leng Wushuang had injured her foot. She asked Yan Chen if he had some cream to treat her injury. Yan Chen readily gave her one, but he did not know that Lan Waihu was watching them.

Lan Waihu suddenly snatched the medicine and glared at Leng Wushuang. “I would rather throw the medicine away than give it to you!” She then threw the medicine into the pond.

Her actions made Yan Chen feel very awkward but also very angry at the same time. He was so angry to the extent that his face turned green.

Meanwhile, Leng Wushuang remained silent and persuaded Yan Chen that she was alright. She asked him not to quarrel with Little Fox over it and said that she could always go to the pharmacy to purchase the cream. She then walked away with a limp after finishing her sentence.

Yan Chen’s face was ashen, and he coldly said a sentence to Little Fox, “You are being very unreasonable!” He walked away and left Little Fox alone in the garden.

Little Fox sat on a stone bench and cried. She did not understand how she got herself into this situation. She did not understand what she had done to be treated this way.

Yan Chen probably wanted to teach her a real lesson, so he ignored her for several days and did not come to see her. It was also a critical time for his practice, and he was afraid that he would get soft-hearted during that period. Therefore, he isolated himself in his room for eight days.

After the eight days had passed and he had completed his practice, he was worried about Little Fox, and so he went to see her. He discovered that she had a severe illness. She was as thin as a skeleton which made her eyes look even more prominent.

Yan Chen regretted his actions and walked forward to hold her hand. Though Little Fox was usually a crybaby, she did not cry when she saw him. However, she also did not let him hold her hand but only stared at him and asked, “Brother Yan Chen, don’t you want me anymore?”

Yan Chen did not care about her action and hugged her. He kissed her forehead. “Stupid, I like you so much. How can I let you go?”

Lan Waihu could barely move. She shooked her head and seemed lost. “I am so tired of everything. Everything that I do is always wrong. I want to go back to the Tianju Association. I don’t want to stay here anymore…”

Yan Chen hugged her tightly. “Little Fox, I am sorry. It is all my fault. Please forgive me. Forgive me…”

Lan Waihu did not speak. She used to be that girl who liked asking for a hug. In the past, her anger would always seize whenever Yan Chen hugged her. She would laugh like a blossoming sunflower when he humored her with his jokes. She would also hug him back like a koala bear. However, this time she just left her hand by her side and did not hug him back.
