Chapter 1192 – Crowded Out (4)

Shen Yanxiao and that elf from the Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe at last went to their a.s.signed tree house.

Entering the tree house, they saw that the things inside were very simple. There was a hammock at each side of the room, a wooden table in the middle, and two chairs beside the wooden table. Aside from these, there was nothing else.

Shen Yanxiao pulled a chair out and sat down to look at her "roommate".

"Yan Xiao." Shen Yanxiao suddenly said.

The other party was clearly surprised; there was an astonished look on his cold face. He hesitated for a while before saying, "An Ran."

Then, An Ran bowed his head and continued, “I know that you just had no choice but to live with me. So you don’t need to talk to me.”

Shen Yanxiao rested her chin right under her hand as she looked at An Ran’s figure.

"Why?"

An Ran looked at Shen Yanxiao; he could not help but feel strange due to her question.

"Because I am an elf of the Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe, that’s why other elves don’t like me. You don't have to force yourself. If you have too much of an interaction with me, they will only reject you.” An Ran pointed to the tribal badge on his chest.

Shen Yanxiao smiled.

"I know that you are an elf of the Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe, but what does that have to do with us talking to each other? Why can't I talk to you?"

An Ran then explained, "You don't know? The Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe had been downgraded by the Elf King. All the elves here says that we are traitors among the elves. If you continue to talk to me, then the other elves in the advanced training camp will think that you’re in cahoots with me and then they will crowd you out like they do with the elves of the Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe.” This roommate in front of him was still very young; he did not want her to be excluded from the team just because of him.

Shen Yanxiao chuckled and pointed to the temporary badge that was on her chest: "Crowd me out? I think they have already done that; however, not because of you, but because of me. I don't have any tribal badge, and even though I have a rank badge, it is only temporary. If you want to talk about exclusion, then you should take note that I’m as much excluded as you. Furthermore, I don’t think that the Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe is a traitor to the elves. I may not know why you were all demoted, but even if I do not know, I have been into contact with some members of the Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe. And just from that, I was very much sure that you were all not a traitors."

Shen Yanxiao's words made An Ran very surprised. Since the Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe was downgraded, they had received too many cold eyes and much contempt; no elves had ever believed that they were not traitors..

"Have you seen other elves of the Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe?" An Ran asked.

Shen Yanxiao nodded her head.

"In Fragrant Night City, I manage to see Yue Xi along with his two children. He gave me a lot of fruits.” Shen Yanxiao responded, there was a smile on her mouth.

"Yue Xi..." An Ran whispered his name, his eyes flashed a trace of loneliness, "He... is he okay?"

"Not good." Shen Yanxiao straightforwardly answered.

"What's wrong?" An Ran expression clearly showed a trace of tension.

"After removing his source of life, he was exiled to a cyan-level city and even had a pair of children with him. How could that be good?” Shen Yanxiao’s words did not even contain a bit of comforting meaning.

An Ran’s expression showed a trace of pain, "I have harmed him. I was supposed to be the one who would be exiled.”

Shen Yanxiao looked at the painful expression of An Ran. She could not help but feel that the banishment of the Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe was definitely hiding some truths. Yue Xi was once her mother’s guard; something was telling her that this matter had something to do with her parents.

While she was in the Jadeite City, Shen Yanxiao did not have any time to go to the Moons.h.i.+ne Tribe and find her parents. Not because she did not want to, but because her current ident.i.ty was a bit awkward.
