Angeline nodded at him, but she knew better. This guy would not be so careless. She was sure that they were wired and paid for in cash only.
Johnnie looked at the card. It simply said, “3 to go but you’re the 1” no signature or anything else to indicate to anyone what that meant. However, she and Johnnie both knew what that meant. He had two left before he reached her.
“Why does this happen to me damn it? That is all I want to know is what have I done to have this guy come looking for me?” Angeline sat down on the corner of the couch. “No” she waved him off. “I am not about to sit here and cry and I know why. I have pissed him or her off and they do not like me at all. I will not wait for them to come and get me, I WILL get to them first. Whoever they are, I will find them first!”
Johnnie sat beside her. “Now will you consider what I asked? Build a team. I am calling in a few myself, they will be here on Friday. Choose your best students; they do not have to know what they are doing exactly, just that they are working on a team project.”
