“You have a way of knowing things my dear and I am happy that you know this. I too am worried, but your words comfort me,” said Yousho’s father.
Early the next morning Yousho awakened. He looked to the north and recognized a few of the buildings of Mento. He thought for a moment about going up to Mento to get something to eat.
“I am so hungry,” he thought.
He then turned to walk back to Hayshua. Walking for about ten minutes at a slow pace he suddenly noticed a tree that grew from its land base over the river. At that point he decided to just jump into the water and swim downstream back to Hayshua. Even though he had been away over fifteen hours without a meal, he decided to just keep swimming. The current assisted the swim this time.
That morning, each of the council members was awakened with the news of Yousho’s absence. A group was assembled from each of the seven major council areas. The Hayshua council was composed of seven members.
One member lead the agriculture and farming necessary to feed all of Hayshua and produce enough to trade in Mento for the needs of Hayshua. This council member was the father of a child who was six years of age named Nu. This group also took care of all the water needs of the village for growing of food. Diverting water from one of the many tributaries that flowed from the river was done through the creation of several large trenches.
