“We should not be surprised at this event. Kaori is an absolutely incredible young woman,” said this council member.
“On the other hand she is very young for what is being considered. We do not know who she will choose as her mate, but that person will also become important to the people of Hayshua.”
“We have discussed this before,” said Elder Meesi the current leader of the Hayshua council.
“For many years out prophets have foretold that a child would lead Hayshua.”
I would be selfish if I did not recognize the wonders that this child has been showing us for some time. My prayers have revealed this to me in the past. It is time. We shall continue to be the council of Hayshua and shall work well with her.”
After a two hour meeting, the council decided that Kaori, in addition to making the first mate selection, would also be given the position as leader of the council. The existing chief willingly stepped down as leader of the council and gladly welcomed Kaori as the new leader of the Hayshua people.
“I welcome you Kaori as the new leader of Hayshua, please call on me as often as you desire to assist,” Elder Meesi said.
Kaori thought very little about being chosen to lead Hayshua. She had participated in the Jontoo to select a mate. Now she had been given first choice and she walked up to Yousho.
