Next day Naina was very tired & was unable to get up early. The celebrations & party was tiring. Their day started late & Nitin took a half day. He left home post lunch. Naina was drained & felt lonely. She went to her in-laws place & then returned post 5pm. After an early dinner Nitin & Naina switched off earlier than ususal.
Nitin got up early the next day & saw Naina to be sleeping for more than her normal time. He was about to wake her up when he realised she was having very high fever. He immediately took her to the doctor. Both of their parents rushed to be by their side. In couple of days after medication, Naina was feeling better & things came back to normal. However her weakness continued as she was having low BP. Both of them carried out with their normal life…but Naina was often exhausted & pale. It was almost 2 months but fatigue continued. She lost lot of weight & feeling weak. Her appetite never came to normalcy after that fever.
Nitin observed her condition & offered to take her to the doctor several times. But she denied citing hectic school schedule for upcoming annual day. He never argued.
It was a Friday evening, Nitin was ringing the door bell but Naina did not open it. After few minutes Nitin assumed she must have gone out & opened the door himself with the keys. He went to change in the bedroom when he saw her lying lifeless near the wardrobe. His heart skipped a beat…he rushed to her, picked her in his arms & laid her on the bed. He patted her cheek & called out Naina…Naina…please open your eyes. Can you please tell me what happened? Please. He rushed to the kitchen, brought a glass of water, sprinkled on her face. Her eyes opened a bit but then again she became unconscious. He called the doctor immediately. He feared loosing her & called his mom. His mom was equally concerned about her health.
