"I have programs as you know that pick up things that the rest of the public can't," he said rubbing his neck where Aurora grabbed him. "I stumbled on it and saw that he was recruiting hit men from everywhere. There were more than you six in the original matrix but he settled on only six competitors out of maybe a hundred other professional killers. He wanted players that were misplaced cops, ex-military, government agents DEA, FBI or CIA and lucked out with one KGB. He wanted anyone who knew their way around weapons, with little to no fear in taking human lives. Who had little to lose and everything to gain from a contest for killers for hire."

"Yeah go on." Stryker demanded.

"He started to seek out such killers six or so months ago. Most declined from his insane offer as you may expect, but others took the offer and committed themselves to the game.

"Kill Fest, is it as his website depicts, an ancient combat gathering of assassins to crown the best professional killer?" Aurora asked easing her voice down a tone.

"Oh God no!" he said with a slight turned up grin. "Kill Fest as we know it, is nothing more than this made up crazy ass live action role playing game for people duped into taking part of it."

"Shit but the money offered?" Aurora begged.

"That I don't know, he may really be giving out big bags of cash to the last man or woman standing, I don't know. I don't know who he is and so I can't really give a comment on that," Pete told her as her eyes shifted to Stryker who sat at the sofa's edge with knees wide apart in his hands clasp between his legs.

"And what about The Reaper, who is he and how does he fit into this mess?" Stryker asked.

"Oh that I really don't know, none of us saw that coming."

"Who the fuck are none of us," Aurora stood demanding his answer.

"Yeah, what do you mean by that. Are you monitoring this damn thing on the computer?" Stryker questioned.

"Well sort of," the boy said sinking into his seat like a turtle into its shell. "We all are."

"We all are…..who are we all?" the CIA member demanded in a coarse tone that made his rough female counterpart envy and a bit proud.

"Ah…..we the subscribers."

"You mean this shit is going out to others online, someone is keeping tabs on us?" Aurora inquired harshly.

"Well yeah, I guess you could say that," Pete replied praying the young woman didn't attack him again.
