My eyes opened slowly.
"Where am I?", I whispered to myself tilting my head, my eyes half closed. I felt dizzy. I saw a lot of tubes attached to my hand.
Everything was blurry and it took time to adjust my vision.
I frowned in confusion.
"You're awake", came a dry raspy voice.
I saw Ian sitting on the side chair of my bed. His eyes red and puffy, his hair messy like he hadn't slept for days.
I blinked.
Yes, I remember now!
He was on top of me, his hands around my throat. H-he was kissing me. I couldn't remember what happened next.
Did I pass out?
My eyes widened.
This is exactly what must had happened!
Curiosity killed the cat. I was curious to find out where it would lead. What were his limits. And this is what I got. It was stupid.
Well, at least he didn't kill me.
But he could have. My breathing hitched at the thought.
I raised my hand and tried to get rid of the tubes but he held my wrist.
"Don't", he said. His eyes were unusually cold and empty "You need treatment"
"W-What happened?", I wanted to confirm.
I saw a flash of guilt in his eyes that was again masked by his impassive demeanour.
