I interrogated harshly:
"Where were you?"
He frowned, "What?"
I snorted in exasperation. It took all my nerves not to scream. Afterall, I didn't want the past to repeat.
"Where were you all these days?",
"I wasn't anywhere.", he muddled.
"Did you forgot about me. Were you going to leave me here to rot and die alone!", this time I couldn't contain all of my anger.
"Are you angry?", he asked "Look Avy, I didn't forget about you. I can never. You mean a lot more to me than that", he tried to clarify, staring deeply into my eyes. His eyes looking as if he wasn't lying.
"Bullshit", my voice crooked.
I didn't want to just believe him so I averted my eyes. I couldn't bring myself to look anymore.
"You don't believe me", his voice was quieter.
I couldn't tolerate the mere presence of him anymore.
"Just tell me what you want now", I said, still looking away. Just then I came to know that being alone was better than being with him. I would have been better if he hadn't showed up.
"Nothing, just wanted to take you out on a date"
I stared at him. Does that mean I'll be getting out of this suffocating room?
