The guy looked crushed, and though he mustered a smile. It was the most fabricated smile in the history of fake smiles. I hurt him and that’s the last thing I wanted to do. Can we possibly go forward after this hurdle or will he hold this to me forever.

“Tie. Do you hate me now? Are we still friends.”

“Of coarse Laya. I could never hate you and we will always be friends.”

As he lifts his hand up and uses his thumb to brush away the stray tear that has fallen. I didn’t even realize that I was crying until then. I can’t even believe that I have become emotional.

“Don’t cry Laya please.”

“Sorry, but I really don’t wana lose our friendship.”

“No, I told you that would never happen.”

“Anyway do you wana watch another movie?” I say trying to break away the awkward silence in the room.

“Actually it’s getting late. I’ll be heading home, I’ll see you tomorrow laya.”

“Yeah see you tomorrow.”

Before he leaves he catches me in a huge bear hug and it’s almost like there’s more he wants to say, but I can’t handle any more. The hurt in his eyes is unbearable. I can’t believe he seriously likes me. Could it have been more than just a crush to him?
