“Come on you have to have fun sometime in your life, besides I brought you a gift, please it would do me such an honor just to see you in this, I’m sure if you don’t wana go with anyone plenty of people go alone.”

As she hands me a white bag that contains a dress I presume, I smile as tears roll down my cheeks.

“Thank you Jenna. You are so amazing, I don’t know what I have done to deserve having you in my life, but I’m really grateful.”

“You deserve so much more Malaya. You will look beautiful in it I chose it because I thought the color will compliment your completion.”

Now I have no choice but to go to the dance. I can’t reject the dress, which would be very rude of me. I give her a hug. And thank her profusely; as we sit there and chat she talks to me about life and seizing opportunities.

I don’t know why but it almost seems like she knows about my crush on Kale. I hope not, the last thing I want is for anyone to know about my unhealthy obsession with the boy I can’t have. Imagine, I can have any guy in school except the one I really want, ironic huh?
