When chaos was prevalent in the marriage hall, it was she who silenced them and addressed to the audience vehemently and conducted swayamvaram boldly and garlanded him. But now her defying eyes were looking down the floor. A lady, however stalwarted and bold type, has her modest and feels coyness naturally. Bearing her round face by his golden hand of petal, he perceived her flake of orange –lips and French kissed unexpectedly.

Till she encircled her hand around his neck, he continued his French kiss, raining kiss over her lips and accosted: “Have you smeared honey over your lips as they are very sweet?”

Shyamala smiled blushingly but did not reply immediately till he reminded her to answer to his question.

Shyamala, in her whispering tone, responded:” Sweetness not on my lips but in your words.”

Though Shyamala was merely seventeen years old, her repartee surprised him.

“You’re talking very nicely, Shyami.” Baskar commended her.

‘Shyami’ is a hypocorism (pet name) which Shyamala liked to be called by Baskar and she expressed her glee thus:” Instead of calling me “Shyamala” I prefer this pet name called by you.”
