The captain stopped long enough to gague Alannah's reaction to what he was telling her. There were tears in her eyes and her complexion began to lose it's tanned complexion.

"I appologize to you Senorita, if this is troubling information, but you must know my priority as the harbour master is to keep the entire island safe, and right now that also includes you. As of yesterday, your brother and his companion have managed to evade us, they have not only threatened the lives of Anya's family, but the lives of many people here on the island are also in danger. We also believe that he could be working with someone here on the island as well. We have received word from the German Police that he is wanted for questioning in Nuremberg Germany for murder."

"Nuremberg Germany? Murder? Who . . .?" Alannah said panicking because her friend Kasey lived in Nuremberg.

"A young woman by the name of Kasey. Why is that important to you?" he asked

Alannah put her hand over her mouth, her complexion now pastey white she looked as though she was going to be faint once again, she pushed her plate away - her appetite no longer there. Dominic could see that she was visibly shaken. "NO - no it can't be, not Kasey, oh Kasey I am sorry, I am so, so sorry." She muttered and then she started saying a string of things in German that she refused to repeat when asked. She stood up from her chair, she wanted to run, take Dutch and just ride but she knew that was impossible, so she strode over to the nearest window and rested her head on the pane of glass, her body was shaking as if she were crying.

"Alannah?" Dominic said coming over to where she was now standing, he put a prtective arm around her shoulder and she turned into him, crying a river of tears.

He just stood there and held her for as long as it took for her to calm down. "She was my friend, Dominic, how could they have killed her?" he just shook his head and held tight. After about five minutes she was calm enough to listen to the rest of the harbormasters tale.

"I am deeply sorry about your friend, Señorita. It is obvious from what you and your brothers have told me here today that these men are dangerous and they will stop at nothing to get at you. If either of them are seen carrying guns or any weapon, we will not stop to ask questions, your brother and anyother man seen with him will be shot on sight. If they try to run from us, they will be shot. Their only hope to avoid imminent death is for them to surrender to the Port Lira Authority, and the sooner they do so the better. Señorita, do you understand what I am saying here? Why would your brother be here trying to kill you?"
