“Touche.” He admitted with a expansive smile,"my story is long and boring for this short ride since we’re getting close to Riverside Drive.” He explained and she just looked into the rear view mirror and enjoyed another of his magnetic smiles.
“Fair enough - if you don’t want to talk about it, I’m not going to beg…” She gave up annoyingly.
“You’d never have to beg me,” he assured her, “if I give you the short version it'll end up sounding more of a bummer and it’s not.” He told her monotone as-a-matter-of-fact.
“I’m not going to judge you Brayden, if that's what you're concerned about...it’s probably not as bad as you make it sound."
“Maybe,” he offered unassuredly. He liked the way she pronounced his name Bray-den and not Bray-don like most would. He raised his eyebrows as though in appreciation, looking at her in the rear view mirror and she gazed back at him, “anyways, it was a long time ago. I was back home in England working as a bouncer.” He started to reveal his tale but Aliziana interrupted him abruptly.
“You were a bouncer and lived in England and Texas too?” She looked at him wide-eyed with surprise and became more intrigued.
