Good gosh, you’d think that he was on some covert mission, she laughed silently to herself but kept a straight face when she replied, “yes, it’s 333 ready to go, 555 you can leave and 999 is for urgent.”

What she really wanted to say to him was more along the lines of - in other words, Mr. Pryce, if I ever have to text 999 and you’re not in the immediate vicinity to save me, then I’m screwed, right?!

“That’s correct.” He said approvingly when she repeated all the correct numbers and she had to stop herself from laughing because she knew he was only trying to be professional or possibly, even trying to impress her with his plan of action.

“Is there something amusing that I missed?” He asked her suspiciously. Somehow he had sensed from the tone of her voice and from the slight raise of her cheeks, that she found something laughable.

Busted! She panicked for a brief second wondering how she gave herself away and then smiled. “No, not at all, “she lied outrightly, “I was just wondering why Riley never used codes... I would just call him,” she replied, hoping that would appease him and he glanced in the rear view mirror - no smile that time either.
