Page 51“T bone?” his voice boomed. “Hey man!” he shouted again, but there was no response from inside. He let out a breath and jammed the door. It was as good a time as any to apologize for his harsh words he said before he’d stormed out his warehouse earlier today. The door opened, an apology was already forming on his lips as he stepped into the room, but the words froze instantly.
The room had been torn apart, papers were everywhere. It was the sight of blood that made Ricky’s heart stop. “T bone!” he fought his panic as he rushed forward. “Holy shit! T bone?”
“Hey bro,” Jerome snapped his fingers. “Come back to reality.”
“I was framed and you know it.” Ricky tried to defend himself.
“I believe you, but will she believe that you were innocent?”
Jerome stole a peak at Ricky, who was slumped in the seat next to his. Though the room was dimly lit, the light from the window provided enough light to illuminate features he’d always considered to be perfect.
He took advantage of this rare opportunity to study Ricky unawares, he leaned for a closer look.
“You can do whatever you want but I’m not stealing from anyone.” Ricky’s eyes narrowed, his fingers fairly flying over the table.
