Until Sunrise
Page 20Though physically and mentally exhausted, Flora still managed to find some humor as she walked in. she never waited for Ricky to pull out a chair for her. She was used to doing things on her own.
“You look relaxed today.” Ricky said. He gazed around, his eyes stopping at her seriously held bun.
“I have good and worst days in case you haven’t noticed.” She stopped and stared at the waiter who was waiting for their order. “I’ll have burger and fries.” She pointed at the menu.
“I’ll have the same,” Ricky concluded.
“You had to copy my order.” She rattled out to fill the silence.
“I’ve realized that you are more down to earth, you can let loose and enjoy the different flavors of life. I was expecting you to order steak maybe, you know what they say about steak on a first date.”
“What do they say?” she chuckled a little.
“They say, if you want to impress a man, order stake on the first date. It’s insanely sexy when a lady knows how to cut her steak, as long as you don’t jab it with your fork, hack it with a knife and certainly don’t swallow a five inch piece of meat. It drives men crazy, makes us think of you taking control in the bedroom.”
