'Switched off.. ' She said in a weak voice.

How can jai do this to me? He's switched off his phone? Atleast he could have had guts to tell me that he cannot handle this relation anymore.. such a coward he is.. and i was in love with this guy? I hurt my parents for this coward? How childish i behaved.. Zia was freezed. Her heart started bumping at a fast rate. It was not the feeling of betrayal but a feeling beyond that. She had fallen in the eyes of her parents. Those who had loved her so much, sacrified their happiness for hers, and trusted her blindly for everything.. were standing there like a fool.. just because of her..

But Jai.. who has loved me more than himself.. will never do this to me. No. Jai cannot do like this. Maybe he was simply scared of meeting my parents. Yes. He definitely must have panicked to meet them. Whatever it is.. but one thing for sure, he will never leave me alone in this crucial time. He must be in some problem. Maybe hes spoken to his parents about coming along, and they denied, cutting off all the connections of him to me. Maybe they've siezed his mobile.

In between all her thoughts, zia did not realise that her mom had already told her dad about the call. 'Comeon zia. We got to go now.' Zia's mom shuffled her. Zia got up from her seat. 'Mom, one last time.. please..' and she dialled jai one more time.. The number you are calling is switched off.. Zia's mom looked at her face and started walking towards the exit. Zia disconnected and bluntly followed her. As they reached near their car zia gathered all her energy and took a deep breath. She dialled jai once again. And this time... his phone rang.
